Grace Montessori School in Allentown will be hosting its annual Field Day Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, May 4 from noon to 3pm. Since it was founded in 1992, Grace has made it its mission to provide quality education to students in the Allentown area, regardless of their economic background. 30 percent of students who attend the school receive assistance from scholarships.

“The parents of GMS host a fundraiser each year to help the school raise money for our scholarship fund,” said Radhika Hoshing, Director of Grace Montessori School. “This is our opportunity to participate in the common mission and goal of our school and show support for the school’s purpose and values.”

Grace Montessori School, which began as a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church in Allentown, began serving children of inner city Allentown and the Lehigh Valley in September of 1992. Their goal was to provide quality education and early intervention for local children. Today, under the umbrella of the Diocese of Bethlehem, Grace Montessori School continues to serve Allentown and the surrounding areas with quality Montessori early childhood education and child care.

“Grace Montessori’s continual focus on educational excellence, moral grounding and the diversity of its students and faculty has earned it the reputation of being one of the best early childhood and Montessori schools in the Lehigh Valley,” said Hoshing.
