Diocesan Youth Events
2017 Episcopal Youth Event – #EYE17
Every three years, the Episcopal Church convenes an international youth event so “that the energy of the youth of the Episcopal Church can continue to be utilized in active ministry as members of the Body of Christ.” (General Convention Resolution #1982-D079)
The 2017 Episcopal Youth Event will focus on the theme Path to Peace, based on Matthew 5:1-12. Path to Peace as a theme was developed by the EYE17 Mission Planning Team who discerned a call to focus on peacemaking and the ways each member of the Jesus Movement can pursue a path to peace.
The event will take place on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma in partnership with the Diocese of Oklahoma, July 10-14, 2017. The Diocese of Bethlehem group will travel by air on July 10th and 14th.
The cost of $300.00 includes airfare from our area to Oklahoma and back, meals, lodging during the event, transportation to and from the Oklahoma City airport, all EYE17 workshops and plenary sessions, and any other regularly planned activities during EYE17.
For more details visit the EYE Blog or #EYE17 on twitter.
A deposit of $150.00 and registration is required no later than March 13th to attend.
