The Hot-Talk Starters/Forgiven video curriculum is
an outstanding series for getting teenagers and adults into exploring
biblical answers to contemporary social issues.
Each video presents four topics (32 total lesson
topics at 15 minutes each), and comes with a complete Teacher’s Discussion
Guide so real-life applications can be learned and applied in one’s
life. Each Hot-Talk segment is about real people telling their own
stories – nothing is staged or acted out. It’s sizzling interviews
that fire up biblical learning discussions.
The bonus video in this series – Forgiven: The
Charles “Tex” Watson Story – is an excellent video on forgiveness,
drug abuse, peer pressure and violence. This video has won three national
awards for excellence. Good for Sunday school, youth and adult classes,
Bible studies, retreats, midweek services, Christian school programs
and more. The series deals with sensitive real life issues and does
not offer conclusions! Use of the videos requires serious preparation
by the leader but is worth the investment.

St. Paul's stirring words could well have written
about the subject of Mr. Kruger's Christmas. This is more than a Christmas
film. It is really a story about coping with loneliness and want.
This problem, especially difficult at Christmas, must be faced throughout
the year. Mr. Kruger's Christmas shouldn't be limited to use just
during the Christmas season.
CEI - 12 - MUSIC BOX (28 min.)
A parable for intermediate and adult audiences. A
man is startled by four lively angels and caught up in their "hallelujah"
song and dance. They leave a small box which bursts forth with their
music when opened. He hides the box, but everyone notices a change
in his behavior. The angels reappear to tell him his gift was meant
to be shared.

Takes an optimistic and humorous look at the concerns
of today's teenagers. Hosted by comedian and teen counselor Michael
Pritchard, the program chronicles Pritchard's work as he visit's high
schools across the country. Each program tackles a specific subject
of concern to teenagers and begins with Pritchard delivering a brief
comic monologue, poking fun at some of the tougher issues in adolescence.
The comedy usually overcomes the toughest resistance. Students are
then presented with hypothetical situations and problems and are encouraged
to look honestly at their lives and the choices they make.
