Third Sunday of Easter at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Seattle. It
is intended to help the viewer experience liturgy done excellently
in a particular parish on a particular Sunday and to reflect on how
that celebration touched the lives of the people who participated
in it.
Much of the film consists of scenes of the
congregation at worship spliced with candid footage of scenes in the
lives of several families as they move among home, work and church.
It employs rapid-sequence montage and cutting, flashing on the screen
images of affluence, poverty, and war which help to link the words
and actions of the liturgy with words and actions of the world. A
