A cathedral functions like any parish church for
its members, with its own vestry and clergy, but has a special relationship
to the diocese as the seat of the bishop. This relationship can be
exercised and strengthened through the group of people, clerical and
lay, drawn from all parts of the diocese and the cathedral, constituting
the Cathedral Chapter.
In recent years the cathedral building has had major
structural improvements as well as the addition of a covered portico.
Sayre House Parish Hall serves not only the congregation, but also
as a satellite downlink site.
